Compassionate and Professional Therapy for all ages – Children, Adolescents, Adults & Couples!
Chelsey McNair
Counselling Intern

Sometimes, life feels heavier than expected, whether you're navigating change, sitting with complex emotions, or simply feeling stuck.
If you’re looking for a space where you don’t need to have it all figured out, I’m here to walk alongside you. I offer a warm, non-judgemental environment where we can explore your experiences together and uncover what matters most to you.
I’m Chelsey, a counselling intern currently completing my Master of Counselling. I also hold a Bachelor of Psychology, a Diploma of Community Services Work, and a Certificate III in Children’s Services.
My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and centred around your lived experience. I integrate evidence-based modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), adapting these to meet your needs. I believe that therapy is most effective when we work together in a way that feels safe, respectful, and paced for you.
I have previously supported children, young people, and families through periods of instability, trauma, and systemic involvement. I draw from this experience to bring compassion, advocacy, and a strengths-based lens to my therapeutic work. I create a space where you feel deeply heard and supported, and I take care to honour the courage it takes to show up for yourself in this space.
Some of the areas I work with include:
Communication and connection
Emotional regulation
Experiences of trauma
Family and relationship dynamics
Impacts of family violence
Life transitions and adjustment
Self-understanding
Stress, anxiety, and overwhelm
I believe therapy offers a powerful opportunity to feel seen, make sense of your story, and connect with your inner resources for healing and growth.
A Little About Me:
I have a Kindle in my hand more often than not!
I dabble in almost every craft you can imagine (painting and beading are current favourites).
I have a growing “hobby graveyard” at home from all my creative experiments!
I’ll never turn down a karaoke mic.
